The best way to help those in need is to give them tools for their evolution

Several years ago, a yogi, in south India, told me something I didn’t really understand at that time, but it stayed with me, and throughout time it has grown on me. He said something like: “by becoming entangled in the energy of other people, we delay/interfere with our own evolution. If we are truly interested in evolution, this should be considered.”

This part of the conversation was about therapeutic methods that enter the electromagnetic field of other people, and there are actually many. This statement triggered me a little bit, as I couldn’t get the depth of it and its real meaning. My mind was like, “how come!? Shouldn’t we help one another in our healing processes?” By looking at it in that way, I felt selfish. But that was my ego mind.

As I have been exploring and studying the Vedic and Tantric Yoga teachings, this statement makes more and more sense. Not by believing in it, but by cognising it. According to the yogic tradition, true and consistent healing happens from the inside out, and not from the outside in.

The Rishis consider that the best way to help those in need is to give them tools for their evolution, off course, for those who want them. This means we have an active approach towards our healing, and not passive. And that takes work, a lot of work…but everything that is truly worthwhile in life requires a certain level of effort, isn’t it?

It is ultimately an individual process but it requires guidance to be truly effective. And this process is gradual, it takes time depending on the level of commitment and consistency. We are complex multidimensional beings (made of energy – which is data/ information), with different layers: from the subtlest to the densest, with karma imprints, complex and precise structural coding, samskara…basically, with enough entanglement to take care of already.

When we directly interfere with the electromagnetic field of other people, this will have consequences on our own field, so we must be aware of this, of the implications of this choice, and evaluate if this is really what we want. There is actually no right or wrong. There is action and the consequence of the action – that is all.

Energy has no boundaries, and we can do protection and cleanse rituals, but if we are not aware of the depth of Reality’s complexity, knowledgeable enough about the subtler levels of Existence, and in connection with our ground of Being…maybe such rituals are not enough and we don’t even realise it. Maybe our understating is not deep enough, but we don’t know it. We are entangling ourselves, more and more, and we don’t even notice it. I think this might happen a lot.

The willingness to help should be there, it is important that this sensitivity and empathy is awakened within our hearts, but how we help makes all the difference for ourselves, and for others. The majority of people don’t connect with the transcendental field, many are even unaware of that part of themselves, living collapsed in the imminent/ manifested reality.

As we live in the field of plurality, it is normal that there are many opinions and multiplicity of approaches, for anything really. There will always be logical justifications and explanations for any current, some are denser, some more aligned with Nature, and what resonates with us also says a lot about our state of consciousness, which can always improve if we want to and do something about it.

A lot of people have a denser vibration, full of suffering and with internal disconnection, and when the energy is dense, the mind tends to look for quick fixes, because it wants to alleviate the pain, which sometimes is unbearable. In a denser state, the structure tends to be weaker and when there is lack of energy, we tend to not find the internal resources to have an active approach, and then we put our healing in other people’s hands, we become passive. We want something that miraculously takes away what is hurting and what is uncomfortable. It is understandable. But this formula leads to an evolution that is very slow, sometimes extremely slow.

When there is lack of prana shakti (vitality) in our system, in the beginning taking an active approach to our healing can feel like torture, in some cases, or at least very difficult. But when we recognise how crucial that “sacrifice” is in the beginning, it makes all the difference. And in time, it starts to get better, we start moving from effort to effortless.

And when we seek help from therapists, it is relevant to question a few things. When we choose someone to enter our field, do we know anything about their internal alignment? Their state of consciousness? Do we know them at all?

I am more familiar with such statement now. I understand the knowledge that supports it a little bit deeper. And that is what, ultimately, heals us fully emotionally and mentally…true knowledge. It sets us free, when it is aligned/ supported by nature. The path of freedom involves deeper understanding and sadhana.

So basically, tools, guidance, and presence is possibly the best way to help our fellow beings who are suffering. Maybe we will feel driven to alleviate their pain through other therapeutic methods, and that is ok. Do it or receive it if you feel it, but be aware of the consequences, of the possible entanglement you are putting yourself into. If it is worth it, then no regrets. In the end, there is no right or wrong, remember? There is only evolution or regression. So choose wisely.
